Back To School Deals!

I used to LOVE getting all my new school supplies. Trapper Keepers that were fresh and beautious (and only organized for the first week of school, but still…), No. 2’s all sharpened to deathly points, and a new backpack that stood straight out on your shoulders because the straps hadn’t been properly broken in yet nor were the supplies in the bag heavy enough to do the job. The Type-A in me was like a kid in a candy shop!

But that stuff can add up! Especially if you don’t bother shopping sales (which I don’t recall doing as a kid, and definitely not in college! Back then, the 10% off I got at the campus bookstore was a “deal”.)

Today, I stumbled on My Frugal Adventure’s handy dandy little list of sales out there, all broken down by category! It can be SO overwhelming to see  all the school supply sales being posted about, but MFA did us all a BIG ol’ favor.

Enjoy!

  1. The other thing is… if you can squeak by and wait a teeny bit, Target puts all of their overload of school supplies on clearance soon after school starts. I *scored* this way last year. The fancy $8 watercolors required for art class were $1.25, along with 25 cent rulers, 10 cent 10-packs of pens, 25 cent scissors…. I’m trying to frugally collect the bare minimum before school starts and then see what else I can scoop up from Target once they go on clearance!

    • Thanks for sharing, Kimberly! What a string of loss you’ve had to deal with! When my friend died, I was devastated and it was impossible for me to hide that from my kids. I was honest with them about what happened and that I was very sad. I think it was and is healthy to talk about it.

Also, I’ll be praying that your worm cravings subside soon. If you have anything you want me to pray about for you specifically, I’d love to. Just comment and tell me to keep it private so I won’t moderate it to the blog.

Have an opinion? Of course you do! Why not share is here? All bloggers love to get a little comment love! :)
